Mr. Makharadze has been a serial entrepreneur and investor since 1999.

David is currently the Managing Partner and Founder of Diamond Rock Partners, a privately-held real estate investment fund which identifies and invests in a broad range of commercial and

residential real estate opportunities alongside high net worth investors, family offices and institutional clients. Prior to founding Diamond Rock Partners, Mr. Makharadze founded Zustek Corporation, a software company with an international team of over 300 people, focusing on database marketing, which he later sold to InvestCorp, a private equity group out of New York. At Zustek (now www.ZetaInteractive.com), he handled all strategic revenue deals with clients including Time Inc, Mattel, Sony, Citibank, and Live Nation, all internal & external negotiations, partnership development and ultimately the exit transaction.

Prior to co-founding Zustek in 2001, David founded Downtown Bytes, Downtown Manhattan’s premiere and at the time only online restaurant guide, in 1997, which he operated profitably for 14 years under his management, and was dedicated to the growth and training of entrepreneurial students.

Prior to taking on his own entrepreneurial endeavors, he worked as a technology process consultant and project manager at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), and played a key role at e-Standard Business Solutions as the Director of Sales and VP of Business Development, where he helped build the company by structuring deals with major portals to distribute functionality to over 5 million users. He has also held financial analysis and security trading positions with Datek Securities and worked in the Hospitality Industry serving management roles at Sheraton, Marriott, and Wyndham Hotel properties.

David is a graduate of Cornell University’s School of Hotel Management.
