Ryan Payne
Ryan Payne is the Director of Operations at Cambridge Companies SPG, where he oversees the firm’s operational infrastructure, investor relations platform, and key strategic initiatives supporting a growing and diversified investment portfolio. He manages the full investor lifecycle, including onboarding, capital call coordination, and ongoing reporting and communications, delivering an institutional quality experience grounded in transparency, responsiveness, and trust.
In addition to his operational leadership, Ryan plays an integral role in the development of investment memoranda and the preparation of financial materials that support capital formation and transaction execution. He works closely with the executive team to enhance internal processes, implement best in class systems, and drive scalable efficiencies across the firm’s investment strategies.
Prior to joining Cambridge, Ryan spent over a decade at Platinum Storage Group, where he led the real estate acquisitions team responsible for more than $500 million in transactions. In this role, he focused on market analysis, underwriting acquisitions and development opportunities, and providing financial modeling and transaction support from initial evaluation through closing. He remained actively involved throughout the investment lifecycle, including portfolio cash flow analysis and strategic planning in collaboration with senior leadership.
Ryan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from the University of Louisville, where he was a member of the university’s football team. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his son and playing soccer.
